Infidelity vs Love
Mistakes are made. People are hurt,
Apologies now have such little worth.
The minority mean it, they feel it inside,
They know it was wrong; never right.
I am the minority, amongst the few,
I am sorry and forever in debt to you.
Physically cheating. Psychologically too,
What’s the real difference to someone like you?!
Assuming gets old, but talking things through,
Is always an option for Love who knew;
‘Communication is key’ – the basis of love,
And it counts for so much when push comes to shove.
Trust. I broke it. But never again,
Will I break your heart and just pretend.
That everything’s the same, or there’s an overnight fix?
If I believed that then I'd have honestly missed: the point.
The point is, I love you so much,
‘I trust you again’ is what is dream of.
You meaning that, would mean the world to me,
Beating myself up would stop and I’d see...
How much our love means, to you and I,
And how one mistake cannot mean goodbye.
So which one wins, infidelity or love?
I guess I will leave it to God above.
