because of you i sit alone and dream of what we had
in the dark the tears just fall, my hearts never been so sad
remembering your smile, hearing you laugh, will never be again
you were my love, my life, and my very best friend
because of you i sit alone and can’t see the future clear
and miss you more than you’ll ever know with each falling tear
what we had is hard to find, not many do, you know
not many people know how to give, let alone show
the love that brings you together and the bonding as one
to hold each other tenderly in sadness and with fun
because of you i sit alone the thoughts run through my head
i wipe the tears as i remember all the things you said
i will be gone before you, your strong and will be okay
celebrate our life together, we’ll hold hands again someday
don’t let life get you down, keep a smile on your face
of course you’ll be alright and again find your place
