she smiles so sweetly, tender and warm
her arms wrap around you to keep you from harm
in good times and bad she is by your side
her eyes glistening, filled with pride
good advice is given, not always recieved
one step behind you she wants you to succeed
from the first time she saw in love she did fall
so deeply, completely she gives you her all
from tending to grazes, to your broken heart
she will always be there to the end from the start
and as you grow older you appreciate her more
an amazing lady whom you adore
when the tables are turned you stay by her side
