Masked

Masked

The girl always smiles, though its fake. She hides the story, of an awful mistake.

She always laughs, and makes everyone smile. But the truth is she’s never happy. Not even for awhile.

She tries to be perfect, although she knows she can’t be. She hides beneath the mask, that others see.

Everyone thinks she’s happy as ever. But the truth is, she isn’t happy; Never.

She says she’s fine. She says she’s alright. If only they knew the things she does to hide the pain at night.

She thinks things that should never be thought. She fakes a smile, and by everyone it’s bought.

She pretended to be happy. And smiled through the pain. She was longing for sunshine, but only got rain.

Never good enough, always wrong. Wait a little while longer, soon she’ll be gone.

The pain, please make it go away. She wants to leave but she still will stay.

Nothing she ever did was good enough. She wanted to cry, but she remained tough.

It’s all too much, just make it stop. She slid the razor across her skin. Then to the floor she dropped.

She closes her eyes and lays on her bed. She looks down to see her wrists are stained red.

Thin white lines are everywhere. Cuts, and scars, yet she doesn’t care.

Just one step and she’ll be free. From all this pain and misery.

As she lives her last moment, everyone is there. Too bad it’s now too late for anyone to care.

She then relaxes, and takes her last breath. She closes her eyes and prepares for death.

She’s finally gone, gone for good. She felt a way, no one should.

Now all she feels is peace. Suicide; The perfect release.
