His Veiled Blessing..

The reddish sky above the ocean
The mysterious horizon in receding motion..
The Pole Star at a high elevation
A whispering gale is speeding along
The sails are picking up the song…

Cruising fast the solitary vessel
Coming right from the king’s castle
Where enemies and patriots are in a tussle
The noble sailors take away the king
Towards a much more secure wing..

The water’s all black and dark is the sky..
The wind is blowing right from high…
Nautical miles are swiftly passing by
So blessings fall but don’t exactly pour..
Who is the one making two and two four?

Troubled thoughts rule the mind,
“The enemy will never be kind
If they attack us from behind
Some ship is chasing and it sure is no friend
The news of our flight has reached the fiend”…

Sudden monstrous thunders with grey clouds loom,
“Oh Please Nature, don’t be our doom!”
The king is wishing for a witch’s broom
To fly away through the thick mist…
As lightening flickers like a grievous beast..

But Destiny tricks all expectation…
And the skies soon clear the desperation
A fine weather promises expatriation..
The noblest sailors are all stupefied
And the fleeing king is too mystified…

However, up above the truth is known…
The chasing foes will soon all drown
They are now struggling but they aren’t alone
Fragments of icebergs surround them
Shipwrecking them all when the mists came…
