Remember when I moved out?
Remember when you didn’t even pout?
Remember when you didn’t say goodbye
Remember when you didn’t even try?
Remember when I threw my cap in the air?
Remember when you didn’t even care
Remember when you didn’t say congratulations?
Remember all the frustrations?
Because I do.
What were you expecting?
That you and I would be reflecting?
That I would be flat out broke?
That I would fail and choke?
That I wouldn’t be able to eat?
That I would be out on the street?
That I would make the same mistakes?
That I couldn’t handle the stakes?
That I wouldn’t do as well as I am
That I wouldn’t give a damn?
Well, sorry to disappoint you.
