Dear Mom 2
Hi mom,
The holiday season has passed
Our first one without you
It didn’t really feel quite right
Thanksgiving wasn’t the same without you,
Nobody really knew what to do or
How to approach us and you know
Dad’s never liked the holidays as much as you.
Christmas was especially hard for him.
I made him a mug with our family pictures on it
Remember, like the one I made grandpa last year
He didn’t say much but we both cried a lot.
I thought he was upset with me for awhile.
He wasn’t at very much of our family Christmas
We tried to be patient; we knew he was hurting
We all were, it was the hardest day we’ve had in a while.
We miss you a lot and
I hope this new decade is good to you,
Wherever you are right now.
