A love affair

A wedding for the pluviophiles

The rain crashes into the wind;
His eyes search for the past she had outrun,
And see the beauty she left behind,
Their smiles and souls spun into one.

And so they elope,
Gliding as one down the slippery slope;
The sky sings its blessing,
Punctuated by bolts of lightning.

Silver droplets twirl down the aisle of an electrical wire,
As the leaves dance to the fullest of their hearts’ desire;
The rain looks angelic in her veil so white,
She paints the entire world bright.

And so the wind hums,
Holding her close to kiss her;
You may have been tears to some,
But to me, my dear, you are an elixir.
