How humans hurt

She fumes
She shudders
She wails
She laughs
She goes hysteric.

Olive and lavender
Her thoughts once sparkled
Now they suffocate
Wrapped in greasy branches of desolation
Dancing with the Devil’s Snare.

Once in the sun
The mulberries in her hair cackled
Now they smell of sweet pain
Eyes that could read hearts
Have forgotten the language of love.

Caramel skin that shimmered with stardust
Is streaked with moonlit tears.
She gently sews every letter
Till the words form a silhouette of her soul
Dark and raw as a stormy night.

The earth never stops spinning
The crowd never stops buzzing
The voices never stop echoing
But her feet are frozen
In space, in time, in memories

So she fumes
She shudders
She wails
She laughs
She goes numb.
