Fallen

Angels.

With eyes cast upward, unto the golden heavens,
Prayers cry for the god which never spoke,
The breeze which whistled in symphony, perfect woe.
None shalt sleep, their sins revoke.
Birds fell silent, deafening screams,
as golden streaks aligned the sky,
Every creature must someday die.
to plummet ungraced, and wonder why.
So ist es sie fallen, beiseite das Weh
Ihr Vater so zu Unrecht zu verwerfen gewählt
So it is they fall, cast aside the woe
Their father believing it was all their fault.
Silhouettes of deity, star spangled burning,
America’s Christian fallen,
Turn black, burn wretched and incinerate from gold to ash.
A screech, a cry, a streak on the sky, they’re calling.
So falls Eziekiel, Raphael, Gabriel, Michael,
so falls Castiel, Ariel, Samael, Remiel,
Down they cast, follow the first brother,
One who rebelled and formed his hell.
Then such they burn as he did so,
cast from god’s loving gaze,
His wings turned ash, all for thy papa’s love,
A child with no praise.
A crystal night, clear as water,
painted in strokes of yellow, white,
Streaked across as blood spattered death,
Blissfully disturbing at night.
Curled upon the ground, steam arising up
a crater filled with empty promise,
A pair hold close, tears glitter their cheeks,
what unholy compromise.
Belief, what good can that be?
When creatures so cruel stalk this earth,
God turns his back on his own,
for the tiny creatures he gave birth.
And so for one fault, all must fall,
Plummet from the sky and scream through it all,
What name is it they will finally call?
Not for their dad.
No name at all.
And so the pair hold close, two blonds clutched so tight,
A baby between awash with such fright,
Such golden soft curls, and yet on his back
Where lay babysoft wings, now sits a scar carved in black.
