Tom's Voice

A Friend Dared me to write a poem about Tom Hiddleston's lovely voice

When the vowels drip chocolate
And the verbs dance like virgin lovers
When the lips purse, pucker and pout
He speaks, so utter divine.
A voice, as mellow as nectar
His tongue, it toils and turns
Like alcohol, his verse clouds my mind
Mystifies the senses like vintage wine.
How supple the language flows over the skin
Like a milk bath, or the dribble of honey
Those whispers like fires, phantasmal and light
That strain to lick at sensitive ears.
When his speech ends, a sinking of heart
Yet I know I am open to pleasure abound.
When his delightful lips close one last time
With a ending “ mmm” of a sound.
