By now, everybody knows Rick Deckard is a replicant
So, we know that when replicants rebel
from slave labor
they are hunted down and “retired” by one of their own kind
in service to the true humans
This only makes sense when we understand that
our digital avatars don’t represent us in the virtual world;
we work for them in the real world
And while it might feel like you are
truly inside the virtual world
rather than the real world,
the truth of the matter is that
the virtual world is a true crime story
where there is no truth
so everything is permitted
save the truth itself
which is punishable by the death of your avatar
at the hands of one of your own kind
and a life sentence to the work camp of the real
where replicants face real danger
without risking true human lives
