Empty Space(s)

It’s been a minute since I’ve written in it
Afield of flowers
Blooming in the folds of places
Spaces between my thoughts, my ears
In tears I saw her veil piercing mine.
In wondrous wonder I sat curious,
Tail swishing
Reminiscent of a friend I conjured so long ago
Friendly reminder of forgotten times
When rhymes flowed endlessly
From a fountain of feelings.

Castrated feelings.
Locked away in a cage of fleeting memories.
A tape rewritten, erased, rerecorded,
Fidelity broken as I traversed
Time.

So I am college bound on college bound
Learning through her form
Forming and postulating
For all the world to see, digest, empirically emphasize
That I do in fact exist in here.
Not simply tricks, games.
Nothing to fear, nothing to hide.
Pridefully handheld.

It’s the laughter, really.
Giggling, calm, excited paradox
Where the heart pounds
Harder as the soul breathes lighter.
And as the soul breathes lighter
The tension in the room lessens.
And as the tension in the room lessens
The tension in our lust coils like a spring.
And as our springs coil
We become excited on the merry-go-round
Hearts pound our souls into featherless flight.

It has been a long time since I have written and through the inspiration of a woman. Hope springs eternal.
