Keith S.

[All Is Full of Love]

I was a’runnin.
I was a’runnin real fast.
I would like to be first,
had once been last.

Keith S. came up quick and spoke as he passed.
“well, I guess I’ll get first!  but at least you’re not last.”

I was a’runnin.
I was a’runnin real good.
If anyone should win,
I figured I should.

Then he flew right by at the finish line.
My race was lost to that red-devil swine.
It wasn’t until the races were done.
He walked up to me his hand like a gun...
“You really won that ya know.  I mean I won it, but heck,
I didn’t even join in the race 'til oh, about a half-mile was left!”

I was a’runnin.
I was a’running real hard.
I should’ve known that little bitch
would play the homeschooler card:

"Oh well, I figured the rules of the race didn’t matter.
It being an OPEN race and all, no fitter/no fatter..."
He would mumble on with his self-raising chatter
while his mother gave me pity.
pity I would’ve rathered not been given
considering the race I would’ve won
being stolen by this guy I could’ve beat the livin’ shit out of!

So his mom goes on ta say “It’s all ya know just in the way...
I mean, if your mother had been at the sidelines
cheering like me and the other freuleins...
what I mean to say is,  well say,  I guess there is just no way
you could’ve beat my li’l boy!”

So, he actually took the trophy that day
for an open race he wouldn’t have won, no way!
No how!  Holy cow, that was a decade ago now.
And some people have a right to hold a grudge!

true story!
