Nothing to Believe In

There’s nothing around here to believe in
And I’m always feeling scared
There’s not much for me to breath in
Except all this stale air

What can I find here to care for?
There’s nothing left that’s unspoilt
But those songs in my head
There still there, and those I do care for

Those sweet songs, those melodies fine
Bring back memories of a much better time
But now there’s not much to please me
And I know that everythings changed

I’m a stranger to myself and the days are long
I just now see those mournful skies
Those clouds that build without goodbye’s
My eyes seem closed as the world runs by.

Better days are coming, or so they say
I do hope I’ll be there on that day
To see the blue skies above me
In that future that for me seems far away
