The Other Side

The Other Side

A masculine and feminine thought
From the spirit thou hast wrought
Each in conflict with the other side
Shackled by fear to let the spirit ride

Macho Man, you masquerade your tears
Don’t let them see you have your fears
Hide your feelings from them who judge
Keep’em in place, don’t let’em budge

But maternal ways have a soothing effect
They smile with the Gods in retrospect
Why embrace one side and hold back the other?
Let it go and don’t let it smother

Don’t artists emerge from combining the two?
Doesn’t life need its taming, its harmonizing brew?
Masculine and feminine ways, don’t worry
Don’t let the others be the judge and jury
Let your thoughts keep your spirit free
