Observer to the movie reel
But the boundaries seem to have disappeared
Where is my comfort, has it fled the scene
Why does it feel, is this really happening?

I breathe the grey, for there is no air
My skin pricks at a cold that doesn’t exist
A shadow, but you’ve got me fooled
It may as well be real

Shaken awake, but the visions remain;
I can’t move; are they coming out?
The dreamt up wound, I feel it still,
Did you cross to my side, did you hurt me?

The lines are blurred and weakening,
Each visit comes closer to the conclusion.
Please, will you come to study me?
Protect me from this familiar unknown.
