I am not a thing of god;
And his whispers don’t speak to me.
I build my life with fellow man
And my work will set me free.
I keep my head towards the sky
But I won’t wait for a gaze back
The universe, endless expanse
Is enough to keep me well on track
My morals come with no reward
Dictated by a higher law
I simply savor the sweet joys
Of accepting one for flaw
I walk this path in my own faith
Without unfounded fear in hell
As with all things I could be wrong
Should it come to that, oh well
