Should I see the world behind your eyes,
And all the secrets put aside
In deep caverns,  behind city walls
Left to memory, or whatever cause
The future holds in store for you;
I’d see that you love me, too.
Were I brought to break the clouds
There’d be an angel lying there
Asleep and dreaming, talking for sake
Of having a voice as she comes awake
To be consoled, in this world so old;
As confused as I, perhaps a hold
In seeking the truth, or something new;
Confide in me, I’ll protect you.
