In Awe

A New Day To Savor
Given yet another day to savor
Even as we lay in comfort...for
The night as we draw in relish every
Breath taken each moment yet still feel dreary
An unconscious unconnected...
Series of images alas we dream instead
A nightmarish hades hell in bed with us tormenting
Unrelenting contagion terrifying contaminating
Lo! soon blossomed into a Seuratian delightful creation
Sequin dots settled into colorful landscape a pleasing vision
A Gaussian blur smoothed quite paradoxically finely
Opened our eyes to the sun rising far in space commandingly
Out into the balcony screamed some joyous words
Songbirds roosting flew out the bushes in hordes
Deep inhaled fresh air a soft sea breeze from near yonder
Welcoming a new day in awe and filled with brimming wonder
A magical sunlit flowering world awaiting for us all
A carousel color wheel wonderland infinite wonderful
Photo: tv shot

All in there in planet Earth. A melting pot that continues to simmer since day one. And day one always it will be with new challenges at the break of dawn at all times. A wonder wonderland.

Well written Nelson. I'm glad to be alive. I have my choice of what I want to do with myself.

Same here. Rising to the goodness inherent in us all is the noblest act we can do. Neither success nor failure would us be remembered rather it’s the goodness in us that would make the mark.

Thanks Robert for liking this poem.

I am so happy hearing from you. And thank you for your concern this time of extreme difficulty. We are OK. Stay well and safe as well.

Yes we thank God for each new day, and although sometimes our nights are challenging,
When we awake to a beautiful new day, our life, and well being returns.
