GLOBAL WARMING

Monsoon this year has been the driest since time we know
Fields all dried up and parched, nothing else will grow
Farmers in worry, foods in shortage, inflations on the rise
We don’t stop the global warming and this is how we pay the price.

It will only worsen more, with every passing year
Weathers would be pleasant no more, and difficult to bear
Oceans would rise to greater heights, sinking coastal houses and dwelling
Water would be everywhere but not a drop for drinking.

Nature played its role in making Earth a perfect place for human kind
But we never followed the rule nor did we try keeping it in mind.
For selfless reasons we never heeded and always ignored
The preservation of the environment, that, we should have followed.

Nature’s cycle of seasons, completely out of its cyclic order
And this has brought onto mankind, nothing but calamities and disaster.
Gone are the days when the peaks were capped with snow
Days will come by when you will see lesser rivers flow.

Famines and droughts will hit the Earth
Water and Foods would be in dearth.
Trees and Forests would vanish for good
The world would be completely without food.

Societies would run amok, foods their priority
Wars and crimes would be there for all to see.
Economics would be a thing of the past
Humankinds would exist as long as the water and forests last.

The lands would all be parched, and the forests no more
The animals would all be dead and no more would you hear the lion’s roar.
Temperature would rise, unstable and unforeseen
And all around you will not find anything that was once green.

Stop the pollution and reduce the global warming
Stop all things that are to humans, threatening and harming.
I am sending you this message through this poem for you to read
Stop Polluting! To all the polluting nations,  this I sincerely plead.
