Miss you

Far from the bustling City of *Phuentsholing, and deep in the forest
Strumming my guitar, to the tunes of songs,  I like the best
Songs so meaningful songs that are true
And it sure adds up the meaning, when I am singing it besides you.

Trying to hold on to the moment, and hold still the time
For I know you are going soon, far away from this heart of mine.
Whiskies and Vodkas would be my company from there on
I would still be playing this song even much after you are gone.

Farther the distance fonder the love, they say
But all I know is I am going to be alone, once you’re away.
I would hold on to the memories, and the good times, we have had
I hope you will not forget me for which I will be glad.

At times I wonder how you are,
Living your life, out there so far.
I could have been the umbrella to shade you from the sun and the rain
You do not tell me your heart so how can I understand your pain.

Yesterday was Saturday and today is Sunday
With each passing day you seem to drift further away
Memories are all I have to think of and cherish
I would try my best to hold on to it and not let it vanish.

*a city in Bhutan.
