Family and friends wherever you may be,
About the countryside or living by the sea,
Leave your plows behind and come on home,
Thanksgiving is the time to not be alone.
Come all ye friends with hearty appetites,
Our family comes together and reunites,
Turkey, dressing, potatoes, and yams,
Rice and beans and juicy hams.
Most important, the family is all together,
Brought forth on this day from wherever,
To this one happy home, this family gathering,
Reminiscent of the days before all the scattering.
A Happy Thanksgiving like it always shall be.
