May I Have This Dance?
Half step, two step,
Steps away;
I dance towards a brand new day
Where I hold you tighter in my arms,
Enthralling you with boyish charm.
Swirl and twirl on through the lights,
In the end, we’ll be alright.
Back and forth, slide to the left
Nothing to split us twain save death.
You first, then me;
Step-two; pull swing!
Sort of like the trance of life;
Agile under strain and strife.
There’s not much else a song can do
But bring me ever close to you;
Beating along with my heart,
Never to be torn apart.
